The track plan comes from " The Northern Pacific's Cascade Line" plan, by Kenneth L. Gentili, published in Kalmbach Books "48 Top-notch Track Plans".

• All exposed track will be Atlas code 55.
• Power will be provided by the Roadmaster automatic block control system from Signal Research (reviewed in MR October 2001).
• A Digitrax Super Empire Builder system is installed and about twenty of the engines are upgraded with receivers.
• All the main line track is down and only a few sidings remain to be installed.
• All the Tortoise switch machines are installed on the mainline and outbound yard, and the inbound yard and sorting yard will work off interlocking levers from The Hump Yard Purveyance.
• Block detection system installed.
• The original plans had a hump for the sorting yard. This proved to be problematic and is now a regular stub end yard.

Some more recent pics of the empire.  Some show the switch control panels I've made and the BN caboose is one I made from an Atlas wide vision, but applied etched metal sides and railings and a new paint job.
The RR is now operating on the Digitrax Empire Builder system, and all switch machines are wired and working.

Two Security monitors with two cameras each have been added to the hidden staging. They are made by Homeland and can be purchased and Walmart.
